Jeddah Airport Terminals in 2026: Terminal 1, the New Terminal 4, the North Terminal and Where Your Chauffeur Meets You
King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah now runs four passenger terminals. Terminal 1 is the main terminal for Saudia, flynas and flyadeal. Terminal 4, the rebuilt former South Terminal, opened in phases from 27 September 2026 for foreign airlines. The North Terminal is being emptied of foreign airlines, and the Hajj and Umrah Terminal is taking seven of them in October.
If you last flew into Jeddah a year ago, the airport you remember has changed. On 27 September 2026 Jeddah Airports Company began phased operations at Terminal 4, a 97,000 square metre building with capacity for 15 million passengers a year, built on the site of the old South Terminal that served the city for almost four decades. Ten airlines moved into it within its first week. Three days later the airport announced that seven more airlines would leave the North Terminal for the Hajj and Umrah Terminal between 1 and 15 October.
The stated aim, in the airport's own words, is to relocate all foreign airlines currently operating from the North Terminal, together with selected foreign airlines from Terminal 1 and the Hajj and Umrah Terminals. For a traveller that means one thing: the terminal printed on a ticket bought in August may no longer be the terminal your flight uses. This guide sets out where every terminal stands in October 2026, how to work out yours, and how a chauffeur pickup avoids the wrong building at the busiest airport on the Red Sea.
The Jeddah Terminal Map, October 2026
The table below reflects the announcements made by Jeddah Airports Company and reported by the Saudi Press Agency on 27 September 2026, and the airport's notice of 30 September on the Hajj and Umrah Terminal moves.
| Terminal | Role in October 2026 | Who flies from it |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal 1 | Main terminal, domestic and international | Saudia, flynas, flyadeal and a number of foreign airlines |
| Terminal 4 | New, phased opening from 27 September 2026 | Foreign airlines moved from the North Terminal, Terminal 1 and the Hajj and Umrah Terminal |
| North Terminal | Being emptied of foreign airlines | Remaining foreign airlines until their move date |
| Hajj and Umrah Terminal | Pilgrim flights, plus seven airlines from October | Hajj and Umrah operations and the airlines listed below |
Terminal 1
Terminal 1 is the airport's flagship building and the one most visitors to Jeddah will use. Saudia, flynas and flyadeal operate from it, and flynas lists Terminal 1 for both its domestic and its international flights. It is also where the Haramain High Speed Railway station sits, which matters if your onward journey is to Makkah or Madinah. A number of foreign airlines use Terminal 1 too, and the airport has said some of them will move to Terminal 4 as the transition continues.
Terminal 4, the new building on the old South Terminal site
Terminal 4 is the redeveloped former South Terminal, which closed to passengers in 2020 when its services moved to Terminal 1. It reopened as Terminal 4 with modern systems and a dedicated area for group check in for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. Its first airlines moved in on these dates:
| Date | Airlines moved to Terminal 4 |
|---|---|
| 27 September | Wizz Air, AJet, SalamAir |
| 28 September | Fly Jinnah, Nesma Airlines |
| 29 September | Akasa Air |
| 1 October | SyrianAir, Pegasus |
| 3 October | Azerbaijan Airlines, Tunisair |
The North Terminal
For years the North Terminal was where most foreign airlines in Jeddah operated, and it is still the terminal many travellers and drivers assume for any non Saudi carrier. That assumption is now the one most likely to send you to the wrong building. The airport's plan is to move every foreign airline out of the North Terminal, to Terminal 4 or to the Hajj and Umrah Terminal, and the moves are happening week by week through October.
The Hajj and Umrah Terminal
The Hajj and Umrah Terminal handles pilgrim flights and, from October, seven airlines moving out of the North Terminal. The airport announced the schedule on 30 September 2026:
| Date | Airline moving from the North Terminal |
|---|---|
| 1 October | Tarco Aviation |
| 8 October | Yemenia |
| 10 October | SCAT Airlines |
| 12 October | Uzbekistan Airways |
| 13 October | Daallo Airlines |
| 14 October | Somon Air |
| 15 October | Sudan Airways |
We list only the airlines the airport has named. If your airline is not in either table, do not assume it has stayed put or that it has moved: the airline's own notice is final.
How to Find Your Terminal in Ten Seconds
Three checks, in this order, settle it for almost every flight.
- Is it Saudia, flynas or flyadeal? Terminal 1.
- Is it a foreign airline named in the tables above? Use the terminal and the date shown. A flight on or after the move date uses the new terminal.
- Any other foreign airline? Check the airline's latest email, app or website the day before you fly. Tickets bought before the moves can still show the old terminal.
When you book a pickup with us, send the airline and the flight number rather than the terminal. Our dispatch team checks the flight against the current allocation and the live arrival status, so the driver goes to the building your flight actually uses, even if the ticket says otherwise.
Arriving in Jeddah: What a Chauffeur Pickup Looks Like
Jeddah's airport is spread out, and the terminals are separate buildings rather than piers off one hall. A driver waiting at the wrong one is not a five minute walk away. That is the practical case for a pre booked airport transfer during a month when the map is being redrawn.
On a Roark pickup the driver tracks your flight, adjusts to delays, and waits in the arrivals hall of the correct terminal with a name board. If you are travelling with family, a delegation or a lot of luggage, tell us the passenger count and bag count when you book, so we send the right vehicle from our fleet the first time. Our meet and greet guide explains exactly what is included.
Going straight on to Makkah
Many arrivals in Jeddah are pilgrims heading directly to Makkah. The Haramain train leaves from the station at Terminal 1, so passengers arriving at Terminal 4, the North Terminal or the Hajj and Umrah Terminal need to transfer to Terminal 1 first. A chauffeur collects you at the terminal you land at and drives door to door to your hotel in Makkah, with no transfer between buildings and no luggage handling at a station. Our Jeddah airport to Makkah guide covers the route in detail, and the Makkah chauffeur service page sets out what we offer there. Makkah routes are quoted per route.
Business arrivals
Visitors flying in for meetings usually land at Terminal 1 on Saudia or at Terminal 4 or Terminal 1 on a foreign carrier, then head to hotels on the Corniche or to offices in the north of the city. If your day includes several stops, a full day chauffeur for twelve hours often costs less than a string of separate transfers. See our Jeddah chauffeur service page and the Jeddah business travel guide for more.
Departures
The same care applies on the way out. When you book a drop off, give us the airline and flight number and we will take you to the departures entrance of the terminal your flight uses on that date, not the one on an old confirmation. Allow extra time this month if your airline has just moved: check in desks, lounges and security lanes in a newly opened terminal can take a few weeks to settle, and queues at the new building are harder to predict than at the old one.

Why the Change Matters This Season
Jeddah handled a record 53.4 million passengers in 2025, and the coming months are busy. The Saudi Franchise Expo runs in Jeddah from 23 to 25 November, the Formula E season opens on the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on 18 and 19 December, and the AFC Asian Cup brings matches to the city from 7 January 2027. Umrah traffic stays heavy all year. More passengers moving through a terminal map that is still settling is exactly when a missed pickup is most likely, and most expensive.
Riyadh went through the same kind of change in February 2026, when King Khalid International Airport reassigned all five of its terminals. If you are flying between the two cities, our King Khalid Airport terminals guide covers the Riyadh side.
