Riyadh Season Opens 21 October 2026 and the Six Kings Slam Plays the Same Nights

On 26 September 2026 the General Entertainment Authority confirmed what the city had been waiting on: Riyadh Season 2026 opens on Wednesday 21 October, running a ten week programme under the theme Big Time. The announcement named Boulevard World, Boulevard City, Wonder Garden, The Groves, the Farmers' Market and the Ana Arabia exhibition at VIA Riyadh, along with boxing, wrestling, UFC, concerts, comedy and the Six Kings Slam.

That last one is the reason this guide exists. The Six Kings Slam returns to ANB Arena on 21, 22 and 24 October, with Jannik Sinner defending against Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Alex de Minaur, streaming on Netflix. The opening night of the season and the opening night of the tennis are the same night. For anyone planning ground transport in Riyadh, the third week of October just became the week that decides the month.

Three Nights Across Four Days Is Not Three Transfers

Read the Six Kings Slam dates again: Wednesday, Thursday, then a gap, then Saturday. Friday has no tennis.

Almost everyone books this as three evening returns. That is the expensive way to do it, and it is also the version that fails. An evening return means finding a car three separate times on three of the busiest nights of the Riyadh calendar, during a season opening, at an arena that empties several thousand people at once. The Friday gap is exactly when a visitor fills the day with something else, which is the day a car is hardest to arrange at short notice.

The version that works is a four day hold from Wednesday to Saturday with one chauffeur and one vehicle. The car is there for the tennis on three nights and available on Friday for whatever the visitor actually does with a free day in Riyadh during a season opening. Priced against three separate evening returns plus one improvised day, a held vehicle is usually the cheaper number, and it is always the calmer one.

Where ANB Arena Sits, and Why the Drive Home Is the Problem

ANB Arena is a Riyadh Season venue, which means it is built for volume and it releases that volume all at once. The arrival is rarely the difficulty. A guest with a ticket for a nine o'clock start has a long window to get there and can leave early if the traffic looks wrong.

The exit is a different matter. Several thousand people finish at the same minute, on a night when the rest of the city is also out because the season has just opened. Ride hailing surges, and more to the point the supply is not there to surge into. A waiting car with a chauffeur who has been sitting in a known position for an hour is not a luxury on that night, it is the difference between leaving and standing outside.

The Week After Is the Week Everything Collides

The season opening does not happen in isolation. Five days after the tennis finishes, Riyadh hosts two large events on exactly the same four days: the tenth Future Investment Initiative at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center, and the Global Health Exhibition at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, both from Monday 26 to Thursday 29 October. Put the two windows together and the picture is plain. From 21 October to 29 October, Riyadh runs a season opening, a marquee tennis event, a global investment conference and a 130,000 visitor health exhibition, at four different venues. Premium chauffeur capacity in this city is finite. It is not a large pool of well presented vehicles with experienced chauffeurs, and in that nine day stretch it is spoken for.

If you have anything in that window, the decision to make now is not which vehicle. It is whether you are holding one at all.

Riyadh Season Runs for Ten Weeks, Not One Night

The opening gets the attention, but the announced programme runs ten weeks, which takes it to the end of December. Two further Riyadh Season dates are already published: WWE Crown Jewel at the Riyadh Season Stadium in KAFD on 7 November, and the season's own listings have begun filling in through November.

The concert and residency programme has not been announced. That matters commercially, because in previous editions the lineup drop is the moment demand spikes rather than the opening itself. We watch for it and we will say so here when it lands. Until then, nobody should plan fleet against a concert that has no date.

What is safe to plan against is the shape of the season: ten weeks of evening demand in a city that empties several venues at once, most of it after nine at night, most of it in the same few districts. For a company with visitors coming through Riyadh between late October and the end of December, that is an argument for monthly chauffeur hire rather than booking each evening as it appears.

What We Would Actually Plan

For a guest flying in for the opening week, the plan we would put forward looks like this.

Arrival transfer with meet and greet inside the terminal, because a first night in a city during a season opening is not the night to look for a car at the kerb. Then a four day hold, Wednesday to Saturday, one vehicle and one chauffeur, covering the three tennis evenings and the free Friday. The chauffeur is briefed on the ANB Arena exit and takes up a known waiting position before the end of play rather than after it. If the party is four or more, the full day runs on the Yukon or the V Class rather than a sedan, because luggage and legroom stop mattering only until they matter.
